Brad Pitt Says He “Poured His Blood, Sweat and Money” Into It — Then Angelina Sold Her Half
Angelina Jolie sold her half of a winery to a vodka maker, and Brad Pitt has been suing her over it since 2022.
They bought Château Miraval in France in 2008 for $28.4 million, according to Vanity Fair. They married there in 2014.

February 2017, months after she filed for divorce, Jolie was asked about the split. She told the BBC: “I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time, and we are a family, and we will always be a family.”
January 2021: Jolie told Pitt she had decided to sell. She sold her stake to Tenute del Mondo, a unit of the Stoli Group.
February 2022: Pitt sued in Los Angeles. He says they had agreed not to sell without the other’s consent. He says he “poured money and sweat equity” into Miraval, which he says now brings in more than $50 million a year.

Jolie’s side: her lawyers say he would only buy her out if she signed a nondisclosure agreement. They call it an effort to silence her.
December 30, 2024: the divorce itself was settled, eight years after she filed. Her lawyer said she was “exhausted, but relieved this one part is over.”
The winery trial is set for February 1, 2027.
She sold half a winery. He sued. The marriage ended in 2024, and the winery trial is still ahead.
